Sel aastal toimub Euroopa säästva arengu nädal 20. – 26. septembrini. See on üle-Euroopaline initsiatiiv, mille eesmärgiks on erinevate jätkusuutliku arengu eesmärkidesse panustavate tegevuste, projektide ja ürituste nähtavamaks tegemine. Initsiatiivi toetab Euroopa säästva arengu võrgustik (http://www.sd-network.eu/).

Euroopa säästva arengu nädalaga saab ühineda siinsamas kasutades paremal olevat registreerimiskeskkonda (register now). Mõelge, mida selle nädala raames teha saate või mis juba plaanis teha ning registreerige enda ettevõtmine Euroopa säästva arengu nädala kodulehel.

Registreeritav projekt või üritus võib olla mistahes jätkusuutliku arengu valdkonnas (kultuur, heaolu, majandus, sotsiaalsfäär, keskkond, energeetika, ressursitõhusus vms).

Ettevõtmisi saavad üles anda erinevad organisatsioonid – valitsusasutused, teadus- ja arendusüksused, haridusasutused, muuseumid, sihtasutused, kogukondlikud ühendused, ettevõtted ja valitsusvälised organisatsioonid. Registreerida võib näiteks konverentsi, seminari, näituse, laada, filmi esilinastuse, haridusprojekti, kogukondliku ettevõtmise vms.

Peamiseks tingimuseks on, et esitatud projekt või üritus peab panustama ühte või mitmesse jätkusuutliku arengu eesmärki ja selle peamine eesmärk ei tohiks olla tuluteenimine.
