A dialogue among experts in the sustainable restoration of historic buildings to explore how the original design and the restoration criteria contribute to sustainable building management at Sant Pau.
Event organized within the framework of the Year of Domènech i Montaner as part of a series of dialogues with Lluís Domènech Girbau, architect and president of the Lluís Domènech i Montaner Foundation.
Dialogue with Clàudia Sanmartí, architect who took part in the the Art Nouveau Site restoration works, and Agustí Grau, infrastructure and works manager at Sant Pau. Together, they will discuss the Sant Pau Hospital’s unique features, which were designed by Domènech i Montaner to make the most of natural ventilation and lighting, as well as other aspects that would today be known as sustainable building criteria. They will also explore how these themes had continuity in the restoration of the heritage site.
