The “Dâmbovița – the sweet river of Bucharest” conference provided the framework to analyse two topics:

1. the stage of the Dâmbovița river rehabilitation project, initiated by the G-DAM Working Group and announced at Dâmbovița Delivery 2022.

2. how to tackle waste management on water. The discussion was prompted by the fact that creative industries experts based at Nod Makerspace have designed an innovative solution to collect waste from the waters. However, to make it work, a collaborative framework needs to be set up, in order to allow better cooperation between public administration institutions, companies and citizens. Therefore, the participants were invited to seek for solutions to get involved the relevant institutions in coming up with such a framework and in adopting efficient procedures for large waste collection.

The conference is part of the “European Week of Sustainable Development: Dâmbovița Delivery 2023”. It was organized by the Ivan Patzaichin Association – Mila 23 in partnership with the Department for Sustainable Development and the Nod Makerspace association. It took place at the Library of Materials, Splaiul Unirii 160.

Conferința “Dâmbovița - Apă Dulce” a oferit cadrul de dialog pentru două teme:

1. stadiul proiectului de revitalizare a râului Dâmbovița, inițiat de Grupul de Lucru G-DAM și anunțat la Dâmbovița Delivery 2022.

2. administrarea deșeurilor pe apă. Experți din industriile creative din grupul Nod Makerspace au propus o soluție inovativă de a colecta deșeurile de pe ape, însă este nevoie de un cadru de colaborare între instituțiile administrației publice, companii și cetățeni pentru ca acest proces să funcționeze. Obiectivul dezbaterilor a fost de a capacita instituții cu atribuții privind Dâmbovița să se implice în realizarea acestui cadru și să adopte proceduri eficiente de colectare.

Conferința face parte din seria de manifestări „Săptămâna europeană a dezvoltării durabile: Dâmbovița Delivery 2023”, a fost organizată de Asociația Ivan Patzaichin – Mila 23 în parteneriat cu Departamentul pentru Dezvoltare Durabilă și asociația Nod Makerspace la Biblioteca de Materiale, Splaiul Unirii 160.
