The Dâmbovița River is not navigable 364 days a year, but during the 2 days of the Dâmbovița Delivery festival, kayaks, canoes, SUPs and other small boats are allowed to float & row for about 2 km, between the Mihai Bravu and Timpuri Noi bridges.

Together with NOD Makerspace and the Department for Sustainable Development, the Association Ivan Patzaichin – Mila 23 (initiator of the Rowmania movement) makes the river accessible for everybody, by offering canoe rides and participating in the installation of pontoons. Enjoying the city from the water level is an outstanding experience, which facilitates understanding the importance of water to the community.

This recurring event (in 2023 in its third edition) has become a tradition and is highly anticipated by the public. The democratisation of access to water is part of the United Rivers of Romania project, a broad platform for water education, research and community building towards sustainability.

Râul Dâmbovița nu este navigabil timp de 364 zile pe an, dar în cele 2 zile ale festivalului Dâmbovița Delivery, caiacele, canotcile, SUP-urile și alte mici ambarcațiuni pot coborî pe apă, între podurile Mihai Bravu și Timpuri Noi.

Împreună cu NOD Makerspace și Departamentul pentru Dezvoltare Durabilă, Asociația Ivan Patzaichin – Mila 23 (inițiatoare a mișcării Rowmania) accesibilizează râul pentru doritori: aduce canotci pe care le pune la dispoziția celor ce vor să se plimbe pe râu și participă la instalarea pontoanelor de unde aceștia se pot îmbarca. Experimentarea orașului de la nivelul apei este unică, și permite înțelegerea importanței apei pentru comunitate.

Acest eveniment recurent (aflat la a treia ediție) a devenit o tradiție și este foarte bine primit de public. Democratizarea accesului la apă face parte din seria de inițiative ale proiectului Apele Unite ale României, o amplă platformă de educație pentru ape, cercetare și construcție comunitară în sensul sustenabilității.
