Urban Mobility Start-Up Residency

Over the coming weeks a start-up company by the name of Volvero will be carrying out a residency programme at the Valletta Design Cluster supported by the EIT Urban Mobility programme.

Through the EIT Hub Urban Mobility programme, the Valletta Design Cluster issued a call for start-ups registered in RIS countries to spend 2 months in Malta. The goal of this residency was for the chosen start up to be able to explore the local ecosystem in view of expanding their sustainable urban mobility concept in Europe.

The programme offers accommodation facilities, a workspace and a grant for the representatives to help their start up grow. The expected impact of this Start-Up Residency is to increase the competitiveness of European start-ups, to foster cross-hub collaboration between member states and to bring new solutions in the hope of a positive impact on the urban mobility ecosystem in Malta.

The Residents will offer public talks and workshops on the topic during their time at the VDC.
