The Eco-Schools Route initiative, intends to alert the school community for the importance of a safer, more efficient and inclusive mobility, through the involvement of children and youth, teachers, assistants and helpers, parents and municipality. The 16 Eco-schools from Amadora municipality, will be involved in auditing the mobility conditions around the school and in suggesting actions to improve it. A group of messengers will care the testimonials in a sustainable way (mostly walking and cycling) to the next school. The contributions from each of the schools will be collected and the last school will deliver the document (a parchment) to the Mayor.The municipality commits in accomplish at least one of the suggestions received.

A Rota Eco-Escolas pretende de alertar a comunidade para a importância de uma mobilidade mais segura, eficiente e inclusiva, através da participação de crianças e jovens, professores, assistentes e auxiliares, pais e município. As 16 Eco-Escolas do concelho de Amadora, serão envolvidas na auditoria das condições de mobilidade em torno da escola e na sugestão de ações para melhorá-la. Um grupo de mensageiros vai transportar os testemunhos de forma sustentável (principalmente a pé e de bicicleta) para a próxima escola. A última escola irá entregar o pergaminho com as sugestões de todas as escolas do concelho ao Presidente da Câmara.Ao organizar a Rota, o município assumiu o compromisso de realizar pelo menos uma das sugestões recebidas.
