No Lift Day

An in-house Green Team initiative to encourage using stairs over the lift in honour of UN SDGs 3, 7, 11, 13

Choosing the stairs over elevators in our workplace is a fun way to promote both team well-being and our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Stair climbing not only enhances our well-being, contributing to Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, but it’s also a sustainable choice that supports Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. By choosing the stairs, we’re promoting physical fitness and reducing the need for energy-intensive elevators, aligning with Goal 7’s focus on clean energy which contributes to climate action (Goal 13: Climate Action) by reducing our carbon footprint. Additionally, it showcases our commitment to creating sustainable and healthy work environments, which ties into Goal 11’s emphasis on fostering sustainable, inclusive, and resilient cities and communities. So, let’s step up (literally!) and be champions for health, clean energy, and sustainable workplaces. It’s a win-win for us and our shared global goals!
