Global warming is a problem today, and is caused by multiple factors. The consequences of global warming are numerous, and one of them is an increase in sea levels. Sea level rise – we often hear this phrase in the media, but what does it really mean? Does rising sea levels affect me as an individual? Do I have to worry about that? Clearly, sea level rise is already affecting people and will continue to do so. As the world warms due to increased greenhouse gases that human activities get into the atmosphere, snow and ice melt. Climate change is causing changes in both temperature and snowfall. Higher temperatures cause glaciers to melt faster than new ice can form. A series of attempts will show how sea level rises and the impact on earth and living things occur.

Globalno zatopljenje je problem današnjice, a uzrokuje ga više čimbenika. Posljedice globalnog zatopljenja su brojne, a jedna od njih je povišenje morske razine. Povišenje razine mora – često u medijima čujemo tu frazu, ali što ona zapravo znači? Utječe li povišenje razine mora na mene kao pojedinca? Moram li se zabrinuti zbog toga? Jasno je da porast razine mora već utječe na ljude i nastavit će to činiti. Kako se svijet zagrijava zbog povećanih stakleničkih plinova koje ljudskim aktivnostima dospijevaju u atmosferu, snijeg i led se tope. Klimatske promjene uzrokuju promjene i u temperaturi i u snježnim padalinama. Više temperature uzrokuju da se ledenjaci tope brže nego što se može stvoriti novi led. Nizom pokusa pokazat ćemo kako dolazi do povišenja razine mora te utjecaj na Zemlju i živa bića.
