Isma’ leħen il-Ħolqien – Vjaġġ ma’ Hildegard ta’ Bingen

An opportunity to explore the writings, music, art and appreciation of medicinal herbs of Saint Hildegard of Bingen, a woman with a strong message for our own time.

Participants will be greeted with a tour around the Monastery of medieval origins, abode of the cloistered Benedictine nuns for hundreds of years. A presentation on the life and works of Saint Hildegard will follow. After a coffee break, all will be invited to a closer look at this woman’s contribution in the spheres of literature, music, art and the use of medicinal herbs through a series of workshops scattered around the Monastery’s chapel, choir, refectory and cloister. The activity will be ended by a snack prepared by the nuns.
