The purpose of the event is to develop waste processing ideas to promote the implementation of the circular economy. In Latvia, waste recycling must be increased in order to achieve the set goals in a certain volume and time frame. Hackathon participants are offered 4 types of waste – COMPOST, POLYMERS (PP – polypropylene, PS – polystyrene). GLASS FIBER waste and used TEXTILE waste to generate ideas and innovations to promote their research and recycling.

Pasākuma mērķis ir izstrādāt atkritumu pārstrādes idejas, lai veicinātu aprites ekonomikas ieviešanu.Latvijā ir jāpalielina atkritumu pārstrāde, lai noteiktā apjomā un termiņā sasniegtu izvirzītos mērķus.Hakatona dalībniekiem tiek piedāvāti 4 atkritumu veidi – KOMPOSTS, POLIMĒRI (PP - polipropilēns, PS - polistirols) , STIKLA ŠĶIEDRAS atkritumi un nolietota TEKSTILA atkritumi, lai radītu idejas un inovācijas to izpētes uz pārstrādes veicināšanai.
