Green Key Award Cerimony

Promoting sustainable development among tourism, this event pretends to recognize the best practices of portuguese tourism stablishments and restaurants. it will focus on the need to have stricter man

Green Key is an eco-label awarded to around 2,400 hotels and other sites in 48 countries worldwide.

Green Key aims to:

• raise the awareness of leisure establishment staff and clients,

• increase the use of sustainable methods of operation and technology,

• run ecologically sound and responsible businesses, and thereby

• reduce resource, energy usage

 

Green Key is a non-governmental, non-profit, independent Programme. It is recognised and supported by the World Tourism Organization and UNEP.

Green Key is presently the largest global eco-label for accommodation and has a national administration centre in each participating country.



“Green Key” é um programa de educação ambiental que, pondo em prática novas formas de gestão e educação para a sustentabilidade em empreendimentos turísticos, parques de campismo, alojamento local e restaurantes. 

O anúncio e entrega do Galardão “Green Key”, edição 2015, irá decorrer no próximo dia 5 de Junho, pelas 10.30 horas, no Jardim da Baleia, Lages do Pico, nos Açores.

11.00 – Assinatura do protocolo de colaboração entre a SRAA e a ABAE

11.10 – Entrega dos prémios Horta do Chef

11.20 – Reconhecimento aos estabelecimentos Green Key – 2015

11.45 – Encerramento da Cerimónia
