Rebirth of a historic district of Sénart

Since 1973 and the creation of new towns around Paris, the city of Savigny-le-Temple has been developing. The first district to be built in the 1970s, « Miroir d’Eau » is now undergoing major redevelopment.

After a first phase, which resulted in the construction of 250 housing units, a second phase has led to a complete metamorphosis of the neighborhood with reconstruction of the shopping center and construction of 390 housing units, around a redeveloped square in a process of innovation and environmental excellence. The urban development is based on a social and functional mix, deploying an affordable and quality housing offer integrated with landscaped public spaces, hosting local services.

Because of its incomparable natural setting, next to « Carré Sénart », « Miroir d’Eau » is a strategic neighborhood. The exhibition retraces its history to the residents and explains the stages of the urban renewal.

Renaissance d'un quartier historique de Sénart

Depuis 1973 et la création des villes nouvelles, la ville de Savigny-le-Temple se développe. 1er quartier réalisé dans les années 70, le Miroir d’Eau fait l’objet aujourd’hui d’une requalification importante.

Après une 1ère phase ayant permis la réalisation de 250 logements, la 2ème permet une métamorphose complète du quartier avec la reconstruction du centre commercial et la réalisation de 390 logements autour d’une place réaménagée dans une démarche d’innovation et d’excellence environnementale. L’aménagement urbain se base sur la mixité sociale et fonctionnelle, en déployant une offre de logement abordable et qualitative intégrée à des espaces publics paysagers, accueillant des services de proximité.

Par son cadre naturel incomparable et sa proximité avec le Carré Sénart, le Miroir d’Eau est un quartier stratégique. L’exposition retrace son histoire aux habitants et explique les étapes de son renouvellement urbain.
