The Petit Etang of Saint André is a natural area listed as a Natural Area of
Faunistic and Floristic Interest (ZNIEFF). A very rich and complex wetland,
the Petit Etang is fed by the water table and by small sources with variable
flows. Its connection with the sea is at the origin of its settlement by a remarkable biodiversity.
The association approved for fishing and the protection of aquatic
environments of Saint André, Salazie et Ste Suzanne (AAPPMA SA) will
sensitize you on biodiversity and issues of preservation of the coastal wetland of Petit Étang de Saint André. A photo exhibition of the ecological
