The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Switzerland mobilizes universities, research centers, civil society organizations and business to co-create and implement transformative solutions to achieve the Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement on climate change in Switzerland and beyond. SDSN Switzerland was founded in 2017 and officially launched in February 2018. The network counts 35 member organizations (as of March 2019). SDSN Switzerland is co-hosted by the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) at University of Bern and Biovision – Foundation for Ecological Development. SDSN Switzerland is member of the UN SDSN, which was launched in 2012 by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Currently, SDSN counts more than 900 member institutions from over 110 countries, and 30 national and regional nodes.
