Think Globaly, Act Localy!

Presentation of the project Think Globally, Act Locally

Project Think Globally, Act Locally is part of the experimental elective program My Contribution to Sustainable Development, which has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Education and the Education and Teacher Training Agency. The project will also be implemented as an eTwinning project this school year.

For the purposes of the project, the students studied various resources, written, electronic, and legal documents and websites, and they also surveyed other students. They obtained important information by speaking to representatives of the civil society and the local authorities.

After analyzing possible solutions, the students came to the conclusion that the best solution includes environmental education and awareness, as well as activating an eco-patrol that would manage problematic and inadequate neighborhood waste disposal. By performing small activities in their local community, the students have become more aware of the ways to impact the global environment.
