Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Lunch & Learn

Ireland’s first Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) week is taking place this year from 20th – 26th September. It forms part of the wider European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW) which is a European-wide initiative to stimulate and make visible activities, projects, and events that promote sustainable development.

The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage will host a Lunch & Learn event on Friday, 23rd September for its staff to increase SDG awareness, to promote the SDGs in the Departments day to day work and to incorporate the principle of Leave No One Behind into Ireland’s Agenda 2030 implementation and reporting mechanisms.

Staff from the EU/International/Brexit Unit along with colleagues from Water Advisory Unit, Marine Environment Unit and NPWS Science & Biodiversity Unit will present an overview of the SDGs and how they are embedded into the Department and its policies.
