This webinar aims to promote the role of street art as process for social and urban regeneration of communities, specifically as tool to support economic, social and environmental links between urban, per-urban and rural areas. Starting with an introduction of the street art movement and its evolution, the discussion will follow with a focus on participatory actions for street art works conservation. Finally, the Borgo Universo Festival will be presented as innovative and successful case study of building effective public-private and civil society partnerships and enhance inclusive and sustainable urbanization, civic engagement and participatory processes. The webinar is organized within the Street Art project, funded by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union, which aims to promote social inclusion and integration by regenerating marginalized urban degraded area through street art. The project intercepts the following SGDS: 10.2, 11.3, 11.A, 17.17

Questo webinar mira a promuovere il ruolo della street art come processo di rigenerazione sociale e urbana delle comunità e come strumento per sostenere i legami economici, sociali e ambientali tra aree urbane, per città e rurali. Partendo da un’introduzione del movimento street, la discussione seguirà con un focus sulle azioni partecipative per la conservazione delle opere di street art. Infine, il Borgo Universo Festival sarà presentato come esempio innovativo e di successo per la costruzione di partenariati pubblico-privato e della società civile e per l'urbanizzazione inclusiva e sostenibile, l'impegno civico e i processi partecipativi. Il webinar è organizzato nell'ambito del progetto di Street Art, finanziato dal Programma Europeo Europa per i Cittadini, che mira a promuovere l'inclusione sociale e l'integrazione mediante la rigenerazione di aree urbane emarginate attraverso la street art.
