Seminar – discussion «Sustainability of district heating in Latvia »

The Institute of Environmental Protection and Heating Systems of Riga Technical University organizes a discussion on development prospects of centralized heating systems.

The Institute of Environmental Protection and Heating Systems of Riga Technical University organizes a discussion on development prospects of centralized heating systems. The event is part of the program of the European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW). Sustainable heat supply is becoming more and more topical due to several reasons, for example, improvement of energy efficiency of the buildings will reduce heating energy consumption and change heating load structure, cancellation of the requirement to procure a certain obligatory component of cogeneration station electric energy will have a significant impact on the cost of heating in the nearest future, emerging solar energy technologies and fourth generation heat supply systems, etc.

Eiropas ilgtspējīgas attīstības nedēļas (ESDW) ietvaros Rīgas Tehniskās universitātes Vides aizsardzības un siltuma sistēmu institūts organizē pasākumu par centralizētās siltumapgādes sistēmu (CSS) nākotnes attīstību. Šis jautājums kļūst arvien aktuālāks vairāku iemeslu dēļ: energoefektivitātes pasākumi ēkās mazinās siltumenerģijas patēriņu, tas mainīs siltuma slodzes struktūru, koģenerācijas staciju elektroenerģijas obligātā iepirkuma komponentes izbeigšanās būtiski ietekmēs siltuma tarifus tuvākajā nākotnē, saules enerģijas tehnoloģijas un ceturtās paaudzes siltumapgādes sistēmas klauvē pie durvīm utt.
