CIFAL Flanders in partnership with the city of Kortrijk hosted the 7th edition of the SDG City Hall Talk. With the SDG City Hall Talks, CIFAL Flanders aims to put the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the agenda of local authorities. 53 enthusiasts attended the SDG City Hall Talk in Kortrijk and gained more knowledge on the SDGs and on how to translate them into their own city. Peter Wollaert, Managing Director of CIFAL Flanders, introduced Agenda 2030 and the 17 SDGs. Karlien Gorissen, from the Association of Flemish Cities and Municipalities (VVSG), emphasized the importance of the SDGs for local authorities. Five guest speakers were invited to explain local best practices on the implementation of the SDGsand the 5 P’s (People, Planet, Prosperity, Partnership and Peace). Vincent Van Quickenbore, Mayor of Kortrijk, closed the evening with a speech and signed the SDG Declaration of Engagement ‘Global goals, local focus’ of VVSG.

Met de city hall talks wil CIFAL Flanders de 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) op de agenda's van de lokale overheden zetten. 53 enthousiastelingen woonde de City Hall Talk in Kortrijk bij en leerde bij over de SDG's en hoe ze te vertalen op lokaal niveau. Peter Wollaert, Algemeen Directeur van CIFAL Flanders, heeft Agenda 2030 en de 17 SDG's geïntroduceerd. Karlien Gorissen van VVSG, benadrukte het belang van de SDG's voor lokale overheden. Vijf sprekers lichte de 5 P's (People, Planet, Prosperity, Partnership & Peace) toe. Vincent Van Quickenborne, burgemeester van Kortrijk, sloot de avond af met een speech en het ondertekenen van het SDG Declaration of Engagement 'Global goals, local focus' charter van VVSG.
