A two days workshop will host international experts to discuss the aspects and the consequences of climate change in the broader Mediterranean area
The Italian Embassy in Cairo in collaboration with Bibliotheca Alexandrina, NIOF and AASTMT, will organize the two days workshop aimed at discussing the impact and consequences of Climate Changes in the Mediterranean, to raise awareness in the civil society and the policy makers and reinforce the dialogue among the scientific community in the area. The event in presence will be in English and will be streamed online. Presentation and photo of the event will be available at the end of the works and findings of the workshop will be collected in a proceedings booklet edited by Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The workshop will cover the following aspects
Climate Change observation, modelling and foresight
Impact on the sea (temperature, biodiversity, sea currents, extreme weather-“Medicanes”)
Impact on the coast
Impact on agriculture
