Rally with flashmob “Integrated Waste Management Integrated waste management in the context of sustainable development”

The tens of European legislation violations at the implementation of the Project for Construction of Yambol regional landfill, co-financed by the EFRD (at site with coordinates +42° 31′, +26° 25′)

In violation of Directive 1999/31/EU on the Landfill of waste, Directive 2011/92/EU on the Environmental Impact Assessment regarding the impact of some public and private projects on the environment (amended with Directive 2014/52/EU), as of Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC, Bulgarian authorities have not taken into consideration the site of the landfill with the nearby residential buildings, with the geological and hydrogeological conditions of the region and with the risks of additional pollution of the subaquatic waters. For years on our authorities kept ignoring the fact that there are two natural water springs at the site area chosen by them for a regional depot. The Nature though, deflated them herself this spring. The site envisaged for Cage 1 turned into natural lake.
