Hands-on activities with white crowberry plants and video exhibition: students from 8 classes of Year 5 observed in the classroom branches and fruits of this plant and watched a video about this Iberian endemic plant.

Video synopsis – The coastal green bushes we call white crowberry (‘camarinhas’ in Portuguese) – with the scientific name of ‘Corema album (L.) D. Don’, subspecies album – are an Iberian endemism. Their white fruits, also known as ‘camarinhas’ may occupy a new niche market. This video describes this species and the research that has been developed at INIAV. (© INIAV & EPVR, 2015). Atividades práticas com plantas de camarinha e exibição de vídeo: os alunos de 8 turmas do 5º Ano viram em sala de aula ramos e frutos de planta de camarinha e assistiram a um vídeo sobre esta planta que é um endemismo ibérico. 

Sinopse do vídeo- Os arbustos verdes da zona costeira a que chamamos 'camarinhas' - de nome científico Corema album (L.) D. Don, subespécie album – são um endemismo Ibérico. Os seus frutos brancos, também conhecidos como camarinhas podem vir a ocupar um novo nicho de mercado. Este vídeo divulga esta espécie e a investigação que tem vindo a ser desenvolvida no INIAV.
