How Local Authorities can address the Biodiversity Emergency

This conference will share best practice internationally, nationally and locally, to help identify ways for local authorities to address the biodiversity emergency.

It is essential that Ireland moves towards decarbonisation against a backdrop of maintaining and enhancing our national, regional and local biodiversity.  How Local Authorities can address the Biodiversity Emergency aims to identify some of the challenges & opportunities for local authorities to address the biodiversity emergency.  This timely conference aims to highlight best national and international practice examples where this is already happening and provide an opportunity for the audience to identify and prioritise key actions to help biodiversity conservation.  It will also provide a series of key recommendations for the future priorities for local authority actions on biodiversity. The event is open to local authorities & government agencies, non-government organisations, Tidy Towns groups, and other interested members of the public. Organised by Limerick City and County Council collaborating with the National Biodiversity Data Centre. Cost for two days €60.  Booking here
