Firefighting Open Innovation Lab – CILIFO (FOIL-CILIFO) is an accelerator of companies and technologies in the forest fire and forest management sector, created in the framework of the Iberian Centre for Research and Forest Firefighting (CILIFO) and managed by the Finnova Foundation (as one of the beneficiary entities of the project). In this way, “Forest waste to energy (FOIL – CILIFO)” is a training event about EU funding for firefighting and climate change. The event will be focused on the LIFE Program for projects incorporating innovative solutions for climate change, and experts from Finnova will present possible funding opportunities for innovative solutions for agricultural and forestry waste where there are or have been problems with forest fires.

This day will have an estimated duration of two hours and will feature speakers specialised in European funds from Finnova, as well as representatives from public administrations at different levels and from the different partners that make up the CILIFO project. In addition, several FOIL-CILIFO joined technologies will be invited to participate in the event and disseminate their innovation in the field of the fight against climate change.

Firefighting Open Innovation Lab - CILIFO (FOIL-CILIFO) es una aceleradora de empresas y tecnologías en el sector de los incendios forestales y la gestión forestal, creada en el marco del Centro Ibérico de Investigación y Lucha contra los Incendios Forestales (CILIFO) y gestionada por la Fundación Finnova (como una de las entidades beneficiarias del proyecto). De este modo, "Forest waste to energy (FOIL - CILIFO)" es un evento de formación sobre la financiación de la UE para la lucha contra los incendios y el cambio climático. El evento se centrará en el Programa LIFE para proyectos que incorporen soluciones innovadoras para el cambio climático, y expertos de Finnova presentarán posibles oportunidades de financiación para soluciones innovadoras para los residuos agrícolas y forestales donde hay o ha habido problemas de incendios forestales. Esta jornada tendrá una duración estimada de dos horas y contará con ponentes especializados en fondos europeos de Finnova, así como con representantes de las administraciones públicas a diferentes niveles y de los diferentes socios que conforman el proyecto CILIFO. Además, varias tecnologías adheridas a FOIL-CILIFO serán invitadas a participar en el evento y a difundir su innovación en el ámbito de la lucha contra el cambio climático.
