The Hackathon on Sustainable Development organised by the Finnova Foundation together with Diputación Provincial de Ávila and CARTIF, seeks to identify challenges in the cross-border territory in terms of forest fire prevention and extinction, adaptation and mitigation to climate change and propose solutions through innovation and the promotion of local entrepreneurial ecosystems. The most innovative idea in forest fire prevention and suppression will be studied with an approach based on the Sustainable Development Goals and other ESDW concerns. Likewise, the search for self-protection tools and the creation of green jobs in rural areas will be promoted, involving all Spanish and Portuguese cross-border regions, under a Public-Private Partnership working methodology. Finally, a powerful networking will be created thanks to the confluence of experts in the same field, which could lead to more innovative European projects.

El Hackathon sobre Desarrollo Sostenible organizado por la Fundación Finnova junto con Diputación Provincial de Ávila y CARTIF, busca identificar retos en territorio transfronterizo sobre prevención y extinción de incendios forestales, adaptación y mitigación al cambio climático. Para proponer soluciones a través de la innovación y el impulso de ecosistemas locales de emprendimiento. Se estudiará la idea más innovadora en prevención y extinción de incendios forestales con un enfoque basado en los Objetivos de desarrollo Sostenible y otras inquietudes de la ESDW. Asimismo, se promoverá la búsqueda de herramientas de autoprotección y creación de empleo verde en espacios rurales, haciendo partícipe a todas las regiones españolas y portuguesas transfronterizas, bajo una metodología de trabajo de Partenariado Público-Privado. Por último se creará un networking potente gracias a la confluencia de expertos en una misma materia, lo que podría acabar en más proyectos europeos innovadores.
