Our association, SLAR, has been organizing entertainment, sports and leisure activities for the municipality of Regina since 2012. Through its activities, it participates in the life of the municipality and helps to develop social cohesion.

As part of the sustainable development week, we would like to create with the inhabitants a pedal-operated washing machine, which runs on human energy.

This idea of a participatory worksite was born from the following observations:

– A desire to design an innovative project, respectful of the environment and encouraging residents to come together around a common good, useful to all

– Lack of access to electricity and water for part of the inhabitants of the municipality of Regina. And therefore the difficulty in washing clothes

– The lack of laundry facilities in the town, a basic service, useful to all
