HIBA is a European project that pursues the sustainable development and promotion of agri-food digital innovation ecosystems. With a multi-regional character, the axis of the HIBA project is sustained by inclusive growth through cross-border cooperation in favor of business competitiveness. The project seeks to improve the business capacity and sustainability of the agri-food sector through digitization, generating competitiveness and the development of small and medium-sized companies, promoting entrepreneurship, as well as promoting the creation of new companies.

The project is divided into four major work packages: 1) promoting the cross-border ecosystem for the sowing of entrepreneurship in the agri-food value chain through the DIH network – Digital Innovation Hub; 2) boost the local and multi-regional entrepreneurship ecosystem; 3) development of training capacities and experimentation environments for business digital innovation, DemoLabs; and 4) exploitation and capitalization of results for project sustainability;

In view of these objectives and actions, the HIBA project is presented as a fundamental initiative for the agrifood and smart-agrifood sector, supporting sustainable development, the efficient use of resources, the improvement of productivity, as well as the digitization. With the promotion of cooperation, innovation and entrepreneurship, we propose this training action during the European Week for Sustainable Development (# ESDW21) in order to bring the agri-food business fabric closer to the digital economy.

HIBA es un proyecto europeo que persigue el desarrollo sostenible e impulso de ecosistemas de innovación digital agroalimentaria. Con un carácter plurirregional, el eje del proyecto HIBA se sostiene en el crecimiento integrador a través de una cooperación transfronteriza a favor de la competitividad empresarial. El proyecto busca mejorar la capacidad y sostenibilidad empresarial del sector agroalimentario a través de la digitalización, generando la competitividad y el desarrollo de pequeñas y medianas empresas, la promoción del espíritu empresarial, así como el impulso de la creación de nuevas empresas.

El proyecto se articula en cuatro grandes paquetes de trabajo: 1) impulso al ecosistema transfronterizo para la siembra de emprendimiento en la cadena de valor agroalimentaria a través de la red de DIH – Digital Innovation Hub; 2) impulso al ecosistema local y plurirregional de emprendimiento; 3) desarrollo de capacidades formativas y entornos de experimentación para la innovación digital empresarial, DemoLabs; y 4) explotación y capitalización de resultados para sostenibilidad del proyecto;

A la vista de tales objetivos y acciones, el proyecto HIBA se presenta como una iniciativa fundamental para el sector agrifood y smart-agrifood, apoyándose al desarrollo sostenible, al uso eficiente de los recursos, a la mejora de la productividad, así como a la digitalización. Con el impulso de la cooperación, innovación y el emprendimiento, les planteamos esta acción formativa durante la Semana Europea del Desarrollo Sostenible (#ESDW21) de manera a acercar el tejido empresarial agroalimentario a la economía digital.
