Discussion “Where did the Estonians go?”

Discussion evening focused on the history of migration of Estonians taking place at a Museum dedicated to commemorating Occupations and Freedom.

The discussion evening will take place within the framework of the “Back to Our Roots” project of national compatriots, during which the participants create a migration map to show how their parents/grandparents migrated out of Estonia (what obstacles they faced) and how migration affected their  parents’ relationship with Estonia. The discussion evening begins with presentations created by the compatriots and turns into an open conversation on the topic of migration (the idea is also to understand the migration/exile of modern Ukrainians, Russians, Belarusians and others to Estonia through the migration/exile of our own people). Food & drinks available.

Compatriots program participants come from the USA, Guatemala, Colombia, Australia and European countries: Italy, Sweden, etc. However, all those interested are welcome to the discussion evening, but it is necessary to fill out a form.
