Conference of the project “Open up a Borders for Adventures and new Travel Opportunities”

First Croatian conference on voluntourism as the part of the project “Open up a Borders for Adventures and New Travel Opportunities”

Association “MI” – Split in partnership with ADP Zid from Podgorica, Herceg Novi County, Association Bonsai and Association of Croatian Travel Agencies is implementing a project “Open up a Borders for Adventures and New Travel Opportunities”  As a part of the project we are organizing a first Croatian conference on voluntourism. Voluntourism connects the best goals of civil sector with excitement and adventurous spirit of touristic trip in order to make a stimulating vacation of public interest, focused on the society and the benefit of the community. Voluntourism, as the word itself says, offers travelling on a vacation while volunteering at the destination. At the conference we plan to present innovations related to this kind of tourism, as well as concrete examples of voluntourists’ participation in the communities of Croatia and Montenegro.
