Biodiversity Day to promote population of capercaillie

The biodiversity day is to promote the living space of capercaillie. The aim is to rise awareness for the biodiversity in cultivated forests also as in natural forests.

The biodiversity day is held in 4th June 2016 in the village Sent. The main aim is to promote the living space of capercaillie and to enhance the knowledge about the biology and frequency of this for alpine forests typical species. With the population and guest we try to maintain the forest and to create structures for a better living space of capercaillie. In the same time the partecipants can learn about methods to count trails of this wood grouse.The day is organized by the foundation Pro Terra Engiadina, the office of forst Grison, Servezzan Forestal Engiadina Bassa and the office of hunting and fishing. The activity is financed by WWF Switzerland.



Am Samstag, 4. Juni 2016 findet in Sent für die Bevölkerung und Gäste ein Biodiversitätstag statt. Im Gebiet von Dartòs, werden Pflegemassnahmen zur Förderung von Lebensräumen für das Auerhuhn durchgeführt. Im gleichen Gebiet können die Teilnehmer an einer Spurentaxation für ein Monitoring der in Dartòs vorkommenden Auerhühner mitwirken. Der Biodiversitätstag wird von der Stiftung Pro Terra Engiadina in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Amt für Wald und Naturgefahren Graubünden, Servezzan Forestal Engiadina Bassa und dem regionalen Vertreter des Amtes für Jagd und Fischerei Graubünden durchgeführt. Finanziell unterstützt wird dieser Tag vom WWF Schweiz.
