BIOBLITZ (3th edition) in the “Cascine ” urban park and “Vallombrosa” biogenetic national park

Bioblitz is an event organized by the Municipality of Florence and the State Forestry Corps with the aim to promove the observation of the biodiversity particularly in the urban areas

Students, teachers, researchers and naturalists will perform a day-long intensive on-field research activity for observing and registering the animal and vegetables species present in a designed area. The purpose of the event is to promote the role of the urban biodiversity, and the ecological networks as an improvement of the quality of life. The Bioblitz event will focus on the recording of a wide variety of vegetables and animals around us, in order create a natural repertoire. The third edition of the event, focused on botanical and forestal observations, had been scheduled to take place on June 5 during the European  Sustainable Development Week, both in the “Cascine” urban park and in the “Vallombrosa” biogenetic national park at the same time.
