The archipelago of îlets Dupont is made up of three rocky islets in front of the Pointe Montjoyeux in the commune of Cayenne. Its interest is landscape but also ecological. It offers a resting place for coastal birds and their waters are frequented by manatees, especially during their reproductive cycle. Beyond this significant richness, it is especially the presence of the Guiana dolphin Sotalia guianensis that mobilizes particular attention.

WWF France, co-manager of this exceptional heritage, is organizing a kayak tour of the Ilets Dupont for a group of young people from the interior communities in school on the coast, in partnership with the local associations Effet Morpho and Baakaboto. With the objective of promoting social integration on natural sites, the partners will organize an animation on the themes of fauna and flora observable on the ilets for the young public.

L’archipel des îlets Dupont est constitué de trois îlots rocheux en face de la Pointe Montjoyeux sur la commune de Cayenne. Son intérêt est paysager mais aussi écologique. Il offre un reposoir aux oiseaux littoraux et on y compte une colonie nicheuse d’ardéidés. Par ailleurs, ces eaux sont fréquentées par les lamantins notamment durant leur cycle reproducteur. Au-delà de cette richesse significative, c’est surtout la présence du dauphin de Guyane qui mobilise une attention particulière.

Le WWF France, co-gestionnaire de ce patrimoine d’exception, organise une sortie découverte en kayak sur les Ilets Dupont pour un groupe de jeunes des communautés du fleuve et de l’intérieur en scolarité sur le littoral, en partenariat, avec les associations l'Effet Morpho et Baakaboto. Avec l’objectif de promouvoir l’insertion sociale sur les sites naturels, les partenaires organiseront une animation sur les thèmes de la faune et de la flore observables sur les ilets à destination du jeune public.
