Continuând demersul început în 2015, iniţiativele Săptămânii Europene a Dezvoltării Durabile (ESDW) din acest an vor putea fi urmărite pe tot parcursul perioadei 18 septembrie - 8 octombrie, intervalul de interes fiind 20-26 septembrie.
ESDW reprezintă o inițiativă la nivel european ce stimulează și popularizează activitățile, proiectele și evenimentele care promovează dezvoltarea durabilă și obiectivele Agendei 2030.
Evenimentele ESDW pot fi mari sau mici, cu prezență fizică sau în format digital, găzduite de instituții din state membre UE (centre de cercetare, universități, muzee, mediul de afaceri, ONG-uri, etc) sau chiar inițiative private organizate împreună cu prietenii, cu condiția să fie desfășurate sub un numitor comun -dezvoltarea durabilă.
